Which Camera?

Now that you’ve decided on a brand, it’s time to choose a good camera model. A DSLR is a must for youth sports photography. Here are 7 of the best budget cameras good for youth sports.

Choosing a camera for sports photography is not easy. You have to decide between full frame sensors and crop sensors. Once you’ve done that, there are still lots of options within the brand you chose. Usually one or two will stick out as being perfect for you. If this is the case, read reviews, do research, and think what will be best for you. Don’t be paralyzed by indecision, and don’t sweat it – almost any DSLR will be a good choice.

Having good lenses is just as important as having a good camera. It’s important to know what lenses are best for you. For youth sports photography, you should have at least one good telephoto lens. It’s also helpful to have a wide-angle lens.

Teleconverters are a common accessory for sports photography. They extend the reach of your telephoto lens. Should you invest in one? Read about it here.
